The warning came in a haunting dream, the angel told us to flee
You must go to Egypt land, escape the deadly decree
A wicked king, an evil plan, he lives for power and hate
I woke at once, we left at night, there was no time to waste

I must defend the chosen one, he is my life my only son
To help fulfill the prophecy is now my own true destiny

His mother rides on faithful steed, she holds our child in her arms
